A diploma in resilience

When I first started my program in 2019, I had no idea about the pandemic and the challenges it would bring. I really loved my campus and being among my classmates, however we had to continue the program from home in my second year. Yet, it has turned into a unique experience and we had fun meeting online with everyone for each class. After a year of online learning under this unique environment, I was successfully graduated from my program in May. P.s. I have excellent grades from all my courses!

NSCC International Office – Working from home at its best. I started working for the NSCC International as an international student assistant in my second year. Although I had to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was still an amazing work experience as I worked with great people and had lots of fun. We have had occasional meetups in Halifax Waterfront (when the pandemic situation was a bit better) and always supported each other.

The best part was planning events and meetings for students and I found the chance to meet and interact with many students from all over the world. You can see a picture of mine below, preparing welcome packages for new international students.

All in all, it was an amazing two years as an NSCC student and a member of NSCC International team. I have gained great skills and learned so much, both personally and career related. I am looking forward to meeting again with my classmates and colleagues again when things are back to normal!
