Be an international student in Nova Scotia has been one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had, it was scary, but with time you get used to it, till you become more confident. One of the most memorable moments when I came here was the first day of orientation, I was expected a room full with other international Students, people from my country, or at least someone who speak the same language, but there were like 10 people, and everyone was from different countries, all kind of languages but it was actually funny, I met incredible professors, and future friends that I didn’t know at the time.

A cultural experience that I had was to realized that there’s no public transportation in Truro, only taxis so you will need a car or you will love how to walk in the winter, especially for those (like me) who didn’t come from a seasonal country.

Also, I have developed different kind of skills or just have matured in a significant way, I have become more independent, I design a completely strategy about how to organize my schedule, it could be for work, do my assignments, study for the tests, cook my meals, and even do the laundry, ON TIME. I have learnt to not procrastinate anything, particularly the last three weeks of the semester because are brutal but excited at the same time.
