Bridge the Ocean Entrepreneurship Project - I had the opportunity to attend BTO Entrepreneurship Module
International Tourism in Spain – May 3, 2019
Having travelled a lot previously I was not worried about going to Spain, rather just excited to get to see and check off another country off my bucket list; however there was no way to prepare how much I was going to fall in love with this country. From the people, to the scenery to all of the amazing cultural sights, Spain has exceeded my expectations in every regard.
I think the aspect I’ve enjoyed most on this trip has been my ability to utilize my Spanish language skills. I still have so much to learn about the language, but I can now confidently say that I have a solid basic understanding of the language and now I only need to focus on adding to my vocabulary.
Being able to speak the local language has been able to allow me to better interact with the locals, and in my opinion has vastly added to the overall ease of the trip. I’ve even been able to teach some of the others some simple phrases, and it’s wonderful to hear them utilize those to add to their own experience in this country.
That isn’t to say there hasn’t been some hardships; having to spend everything in Euros is never easy, and when travelling with such a small group there is always bound to be some.. difference of opinions, however that is all part of the experience as well.
Overall, I’m excited to see what this country is going to throw at us next, and will be very sad to have to leave here and return to my normal life back home.
