International Tourism in Spain – April 24th, day 1 traveling to the villa in saint Joan. We started off our day at 7am getting ready to leave Barcelona. Our front desk agents ordered us cabs to get a ride to the Barcelona train station. Unfortunately half the group made the 10 am train and the other half had to stay behind and pay extra and it was very unfortunate to hear that.

The train ride to Alicante was amazing, the view as spectacular and even the people on the train were so amazing, they were helping us with what’s around for beautiful pictures. There was the fair share of poverty and it made me realize how grateful I am to be a Canadian citizen and the luxury we have. I learned to always be one step ahead of the game in case accidents like people missing the train would happen,

I think if we were up earlier and had the cabs set ready to go I feel everyone could have been on board the train at 10am. But everyone learns from their mistakes and I’m glad we all made it to Alicante safely. We spent most of the day traveling but when we arrived at the villa in Alicante all the waiting definitely paid off. Even the grocery store was one of a kind even though I did not know how to read half the products in the store, but it was a great bonding experience for all of us to enjoy together. Overall I’m so happy I came on this trip and having two awesome instructors along with us.
