Emilio Muñoz’s Blog

First I want to thank NSCC for having me here, it’s been some of the best four months of my life and I had so much fun. It was a great opportunity to learn about so many different things. First I think the business program at Waterfront campus have some excellent teachers and my favorite course was introduction to financial planning. This was a completely useful course for my life, I even created my own financial plan, that I hope to follow through it. Another great learning experience, that I encourage any student to do, is volunteering. During these four months, I volunteer at three different events and I was not only helping the community but I met people and had a great time. Also, that is some experience employers value. Since my program is business management I was interested in how Canadians manage their business so I approached different business here in Halifax and chatted with the owners, tour the facilities and learn a lot about how business work here. Basically, my main advice to anyone that have this great opportunity is to do things, go out there and try to learn about things you like, for sure there will be people willing to help you.
