Bridge the Ocean Entrepreneurship Project - I had the opportunity to attend BTO Entrepreneurship Module
Entrepreneurship Summer Program in Scotland – Guten tag from Aberdeen Scotland! You would think spending two weeks in Scotland I would be speaking Doric instead of German. The international students attending the course are from Germany as well as Canada and so far it has been an amazing experience.
It is evident our different cultures are bringing us all closer together especially since we are all open minded and eager to learn from one another. Underneath the cultural differences we find that we have the same human qualities and experiences and allows us to relate to one another. Whether it is visiting Crathes Castle or Glen Garioch (pronounced Geery) whiskey distillery, we are all experiencing something new together as well as having fun and learning. Programs such as this one really highlight the importance of relationships and connections and how to develop those international relationships in the business world.
The business program is such a small part of learning and developing relationships take centre stage and are key to success in any business or workplace. I am fortunate to say I have met many fantastic people and have enhanced my own qualities of listening, understanding and celebrating different cultures whether they are German, Scottish or Canadian.
