Bridge the Ocean Entrepreneurship Project - I had the opportunity to attend BTO Entrepreneurship Module
Cultural Entrepreneurship & Documentation Program in Grenada – I’m writing this blog entry at the pool side on the Caribbean island of Grenada. How amazing is that?! I know I know, essentially it’s a business trip and it is classified as work/school but I really lucked out on this one. The past 2 weeks have been thrilling, emotional, enlightening, beautiful, and most of all gratifying. When my instructor brought forth the idea of participating on this project my first thought was, “Really? Me?”. She was so right. I was made for this project. Everything just clicked for me here in Grenada. From the work and interviews to the group dynamics and building relationships. Now I don't mean to brag but my team, Group 3, was on fire. There was nothing we couldn’t handle. Each of us had a unique skillset that someone else lacked. As a result we would collectively combine and conquer.
As Zoran would say, “Expectation Management”. So I went in to the project with no expectations and therefore all expectations were exceeded. The team building was incredibly fluid and I can honestly say I have never worked on a more goal oriented and driven team. Everyone wanted the finish line and everyone was willing to put in the work to get there. I had to hold back the tears!
Did I love the project?
Yes.
Do I wish it was longer?
Yes.
Would I recommend someone to participate on an international project with NSCC?
Without the slightest hesitation, YES!
