Music in Cuba – The 14 days that I spent in Cuba were pretty amazing. I had been to Cuba twice before this trip, but this one was definitely one for the books! Having an opportunity to play music and learn about the culture of another country first hand was incredible. Staying in the city of Holguin and taking part in the Romerias de Mayo festival is something that I will never forget.

Playing music and performing in Cuba was an incredible experience. I loved having the opportunity to play with local Cuban musicians! They are really quite amazing!! I found that participating in this international learning program, helped with my stage presence and my overall confidence when performing on stage.

Overall this was an awesome experience!! Seeing live music, exploring the city, eating different food, playing gigs at some pretty cool places and just meeting new people is what made this trip one to remember! I love Cuba and I can’t wait to go back in the future!
