International Tourism in Peru 2015 – Wake up was at 5:00 AM and our bus to Machu Picchu left at 6:30 this morning and I don't think I've ever been so excited to be awake at the crack of dawn.

Once arriving to the top of the mountain, our tour guide, Darcy, started explaining the history of the site as well as the history of the Inca people. It is truly amazing how they lived in places like this with no form of mechanical technology to move the massive boulders around. Everything they built is so precise and built to last which made me think of how our culture is based on having the newest technology, even if the old one still works. They were definitely much harder workers than people are today!

In addition to learning all of the history, the photos we got were breathtaking. Every background looks like a postcard. I am so grateful that I've had this opportunity to experience this wonderful country. It's hard to put into words the feeling you get after visiting a place like this. I truly felt on top of the world!
