Hey everyone, I am Massiel De La Cruz and I’m currently involved in the Tourism Management Program at NSCC. I come from the Dominican Republic so for sure it was a big step for me to come here and start over again.

Undoubtedly it was an opportunity I loved to be a part of. My teachers were always very helpful and I learned a lot from them, guiding me on how to go a little bit further and to explore shades of my career that I haven’t been exposed to. Also, got the chance to meet a lot of people from all over the world, even from places I never thought of visiting before.

Previous my arrival I told myself to pursue high academic goals and embrace the cultural adversity I would be involved in, and thanks to this experience I achieved that and much more, like increasing my maturity, sense of responsibility, self-confidence and, last but not least,  made great friendships.

Truly grateful for all that has happened to me and I hope everyone in the same position as me had the same or better experience.
