Mitsuko Fliervoet’s BlogNetherlands

Time flew by during my exchange semester to Nova Scotia Community College in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I went to the Waterfront campus, where I participated in the Business Management program. I combined a couple of subjects from the Business Management and the Business Marketing program, because I wanted to learn about subjects that were relevant to me. I was very pleased to experience great guidance with putting together my most preferable program. The Hanze University and the NSCC are two excellent schools, but with a very different approach. I really enjoyed the practical and job-oriented approach NSCC has. Everything you do has a direct link to the business world, a potential future position you might have or it will teach you how to get there. I thought this was a great contribution to the theoretical knowledge we learn at the Hanze University. I was also impressed by the NSCC policy to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for everyone; this means no room for distinction on race, gender, sexuality or beliefs, but also the school being scent-neutral. Combined with all the great people at NSCC – yes, the Canadians fulfilled my expectations of them being the nicest people in the world – my experience at NSCC was unforgettable.
