Visiting Nova Scotia is always a great experience for anyone; people who visit this province for the first time can feel the taste of the east coast with the beauty of its landscapes, friendly local people and delicious sea food; for frequent visitors like me, it brings memories of the wonderful time here when I was a student at the NSCC Ivany Campus; however, this visit was even better for the great honor and privilege to participate in November 16- 23 at the CBIE annual conference and the pre-conference events with NSCC International partners.

It is amazing to realize that more than 850 delegates coming from all continents of the world were all on the same pathway of leadership improving learning opportunities to their communities and creating networks to make it happen. As NSCC alumni, working abroad, it was an event that contributed to become part of that amazing international network, sharing the experience of rural development in Colombia and exploring opportunities for future partnerships.

Thank you to all people who worked hard to make the conference in Halifax a success
