Bridge the Ocean Entrepreneurship Project - I had the opportunity to attend BTO Entrepreneurship Module
New Coastal and Water Management project with TA Marryshow Community College in Grenada and the Marine Institute of Newfoundland
NSCC International is pleased to share that NSCC has been selected to implement a new project in Grenada under a Government of Canada funded and Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICAN) managed regional program entitled Skills to Access the Green Economy(SAGE). The overall outcome of all six SAGE projects is to strengthen the ability of partner Caribbean training institutions to deliver demand-driven, competency-based training programs and to attract and retain students within the training programs.
NSCC is partnering on this SAGE project with the Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University and TA Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) in Grenada. The focus of this three-year project (2020-2023) will be on coastal and water management with the objective of developing a new two-year diploma program in this area. NSCC completed a successful CICAN Education for Employment project (2013-2016) with TAMCC to create a new diploma program in Cultural and Creative Industries and NSCC and TAMCC have ongoing faculty and student exchange projects.NSCC International collaborated with the Applied Geomatics Research Group during the proposal stage for this initiative, and the project will officially begin with an inception mission to Grenada planned for February 2020. The project will be managed by NSCC International and we are looking forward to working with other NSCC colleagues from NSCC, the Marine Institute and TA Marryshow Community College on this exciting opportunity
