From September until the end of December I participated in the second year Marketing Course at NSCC. When I decided that I wanted to travel to Canada to continue my studies here, I admit that I did not fully know what I was getting into. Never having left Europe, and never having traveled by myself, this would be an immense step for me as a person. When the day came that I had to leave, I was not sure if this was the right decision for me. But when I arrived in Canada, the first thing that I noticed was that NSCC was a great host and was prepared to support me wherever possible. Over the time all of my doubts disappeared as I was welcomed into a warm, social community. The combination of social activities, snow days, Canadian holidays, amazing nature and nice people made me fall in love with this great country. During my stay I have not only enjoyed my studies, but met so many new people that I have learned so much from. I have learned to be more open minded and take risks.

I have to say that if anyone ever gets the opportunity to study abroad, do it. And if you get the chance to go to Halifax, do it even faster! The city is filled with young people, and the international programs NSCC is hosting are filled with people who are in the same situation as you are. You are never alone and you will grow so much as a person. This experience has been of the biggest value to me and I will never forget my time in Halifax! 10/10 would recommend!
